Upcoming Workshops Relax and let your creative "juices" flow in The Glass Garden Shoppe's studio. We are offering the following workshops and are delighted to have the very talented artists to work with and instruct. Please pre-register for all classes as class size is limited to give everyone a chance to work one-on-one with the artists. These workshops will fill up quickly - so register early. Come and enjoy! “Stained Glass” with Artist Ginger Newman-Askew Stained Glass Lamp-Making Five, 2-hr classes will be taught in The Glass Garden Shoppe’s studio. Participants will complete one project during this 5-week period. *Note: Beginner - intermediate level workshop. "Introduction to Stained Glass" session is a pre-requisite for this class. Introduction to Stained Glass Five, 2-hr classes will be taught in The Glass Garden Shoppe’s studio and will cover safety, design, glass cutting, using copper foil and soldering. Supplies provided for the workshop: pattern, glass, foil, lead, solder, flux, cutting oil, layout pins, markers and assorted craft tools necessary for the project completion. Participants will complete one project during the 5-week period. *Note: Beginner level workshop Please call 301-863-7199 to pre-register for the workshop — space and class sizes are limited, call for details. “Jewelry-Making” with Janet Mahoney Intro to Beading, Crimping & Tool Basics Craft your own jewelry using semiprecious stones & sterling silver. Learn methods, stringing beads on flexible wire, crimping methods, attaching clasps, sizing and design. Participants will complete 1 pair of earrings and 1 necklace to keep. *Note: Beginner – Advanced. No experience necessary to participate. Please call 301-863-7199 to pre-register for each workshop—class sizes are limited. Class is taught in The Glass Garden Shoppe’s studio. Tools will be provided. Craft your own jewelry using semiprecious stones & sterling silver. Learn methods, stringing beads on flexible wire, crimping methods, attaching clasps, sizing and design.
