| Anita
R. Goehringer is a consultant in the field
of occupational ergonomics and president
of Actual Ergonomics, LLC. She is the
former executive director of The Ergonomics
Center of North Carolina at NC State University
and a long-time contributor to the science
of ergonomics. Anita draws from her vast
understanding of ergonomics issues facing
business and industry to develop and deliver
programs and services that better meet
the needs of today’s workplace.
Anita received her Master of Science degree
in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering
from West Virginia University in Morgantown,
West Virginia.
She
is experienced in the development of ergonomics
programs and has guided many organizations
through a fully integrated process to
realize the many benefits of an ergonomics-enriched
work environment. She has a great deal
of speaking and teaching experience, ranging
from university lecturing to hourly employee
training seminars. Anita has assisted
numerous companies with OSHA settlement
agreements and has worked with trade associations
to develop voluntary ergonomics guidelines
for their industries. She has written
numerous articles on the application of
ergonomics for trade magazines and industry
journals and is a columnist for ErgoSolutions
and Leverage Magazines.
Anita
is a Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE).
She is on the Board of Directors for the
Central Carolina Occupational Health and
Safety School and the Advisory Board for
the Occupational Safety and Health Educational
Research Center at University of North
Carolina, Chapel Hill. Anita is an active
member of the Human Factors & Ergonomics
Society, American Industrial Hygiene Association
and American Society of Safety Engineers. |
